In the summer of 2017, filmmaker Peng Yong made a documentary chronicling the story of dismantling the house, filmed in Cizhong. We hope this will be "part one" of the film, with the second part documenting the rebuilding of the house! 

In the summer of 2019, twenty-six current students and six alumni from Sidwell Friends School started the building process during what we called "Camp Wholesome." Cole Marshall documented the program on film. In 2021 a group of Wholesome campers cooperated to make another profile of the work accomplished that year. In 2022, Cole Marshall returned to gift us another film highlighting the visit of Ambassador Qin Gang to the China Folk House Retreat on June 26th of this year.
